Fig. 1.1 complete FOT process consisting of

    A: mechanically raked screen

B: mixing chamber to add flocculants

(e.g. calcium carbonate, Bentonit, FE3 or other polymers)

C: lamella separator for settleable solids

D - ATU (advanced treatment unit) including an ozone/oxygen treatment

E - reactor vessel for residence time of the treated water and filtration

Additionally the system can easily be upgraded with a biofiltration and/or a composting if it is necessary. (see fig 1.1)

Nearly all different kinds of effluents can be optimally cleaned, so that they can be resupplied to the main industrial production process or the ground water or the rivers. Depending on the pollution level of the surface water or bank filtrate, a part of our installation potable water can be processed.

In case of heavy contaminated surface water the plant component B to E is required.

For qualitatively good bank filtrate plant component D to E is required.

For the disinfection of wastewater or drinking water only component D is required.

Already existing sewage arrangements can be easily upgraded with the plant components D and E to achieve higher environmental standards.

The solid waste removed from the water purification with the rake and lamella separator can be supplied to a composting and are processed under admixture by fibrous materials, for example, old paper, to useful humus-like, soil end-products called compost.

The exhaust air of the whole arrangement can be cleaned over a biofilter.

Therefore the F.O.T arrangement does reach a standard which present technologies don’t reach. After the construction of our first large scale plant,  the FOT process is state of the technology (even state-of-the-art) which must be achieved by all other systems.
